SIN CONSCIOUSNESS - GOING, GOING, AND ALMOST GONE!

Christendom is rapidly losing sin consciousness; which means losing God-consciousness. Because iniquity abounds, the love of many is waxing cold; so we see a Sardis condition everywhere, a name to live while dead (Rev. 3:1).” William R. Newell, Bible scholar, Moody Bible Institute professor and author, wrote this in his Commentary on Romanswhich was published in 1938. That was 81 years ago. One wonders what Dr. Newell would think of the picture presented by most of Christendom today. If Christendom was rapidly losing sin consciousness” 81 years ago, how much consciousness of sin do you think on average exists today. Answer: Next to none. Verifying evidence of this is all around us.
