POLITICIANS SAY “THEY FEEL THE PAIN” OF THOSE WHO’VE LOST THEIR INCOMES BECAUSE OF THEIR POLICIES—SO

As of this writing, 30 million Americans have lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Over 100,000 small businesses have closed forever, and 7.5 million small businesses are expected to close permanently if lockdowns, etc. continue much longer. This means that millions of American households have lost their incomes. Sadly and outrageously, a great percent of this misery has occurred as a direct result of the ignorant, incompetent, fear-mongering, politicizing, egomania and cold-heartedness of mayors, governors, and congressmen—almost, if not all of them, Democrats.

Think about the situation with these political office holders and their staffs and their police forces. They keep getting their paychecks while they lock people down and keep them from getting a paycheck. They keep getting their income while they lock people up who try to go to work to earn some income. From time to time, they step in front of a camera to say, “we’re all in this together,” or “I feel your pain.” Sometimes they get on television to threaten people whose families are depending on them to get back to work with an extended lockdown or fines or arrests if they don’t behave themselves.

Well, maybe there should be a way for people who carelessly callously put people in situations like this to really be “all in this together” with their victims. Maybe there should be a way for mayors and governors, etc. to personally, financially “feel” some of the economic and emotional “pain” of those who have lost or are about to lose everything they have because of their little-thought-out and highhanded policies.

I heard one person say recently what I have been thinking for some time. He suggested that during times such as these, if these office holders who are so cavalier about other people’s loss of income were forced to commiserate with them via loss of their own incomes they might be a lot more careful about policies and demands that directly effect the livelihoods of their constituents. I think this is a great idea. I think it’s doable, and that legislation should be put in place accordingly.

I think a payment schedule should be enacted in every local municipality, state wide and on the federal level for the reduction or even removal of the salaries of mayors and governors, etc. during times of crisis such as this one when those mayors and governors, etc. deem it necessary to impose policy that is directly responsible for the loss of income by citizens. In this way, they would be motivated to think hard before they willy-nilly pass down their dictates. This way, they wouldn’t be so much influenced by the demands of party bigwigs who want their help in politicizing human misery.

Furthermore, it would force mayors and governors and such to set a good example if they paid a financial price along with everyone else because of their policies and demands. Of course, Democrats (who are the primary abusers of power and hard taskmasters of the people at present) would have to be forced by law to share in the burdens that they are more than ready to put on the backs of others, but unwilling to touch with their little fingers. Democrats, almost if not entirely, to the man and to the woman, would have to be forced to set a good example in such a manner as this because they are entirely void of the character that would compel them to do it.
