WHERE MILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS LIVE

“Millions of Christians live in a sentimental haze of vague piety … their religion is a thing of pleasant emotional quivers, divorced from the real, divorced from the intellect, and demanding little except lip service to a few harmless platitudes. I suspect that Satan has called off the attempt to convert people to agnosticism. His tactic now seems to be to vaccinate people with a mild dose of Christianity – just enough to inoculate them against the real thing.”— Chad Walsh (1914-1991).

Chad Walsh was a Christian poet, professor of English at Beloit College in Wisconsin and the published author of more than twenty books. But one doesn't need to be a scholar on the level of Chad Walsh to come to the conclusions he did about the state of Christianity that he saw in evidence all around him. One just has to have a set of eyes spiritually enabled to see, a set of ears that can hear and a mind with a modicum of spiritual discernment.

I think he was precisely right in his observations relative to much, if not most, of modern day Christianity. What do you think?

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
