GET PAST THE POLITICAL AND SEE THE SPIRITUAL
I’ve written a long rather long reply (Hope you can read it) to John White’s comment on my article: “TO WHOM DO DEMOCRATS PRAY?” not so much for his sake, but to clarify publicly that what I discuss, applaud, attack or otherwise take issue with are principles, platforms, ideologies and agendas. This is the primary focus; not people. Sometimes it’s unavoidable and inevitable that people are mentioned or brought to mind in connection with the subject at hand, but this is incidental. Ideas, not individuals, are my focus.
Richard Weaver (1910-1963) wrote an important book entitled, “Ideas Have Consequences.” This title expresses a profound truth: that is, that it is essentially, fundamentally, ideas that bring about consequences, not people. People who subscribe to and propagate ideas come and go, but ideas have a much longer shelf life. They take hold and live on to one degree or another and impact individuals and whole nations of individuals.
The “ideas” codified in the Democratic platform are atheistic, anarchical, immoral and opposed to the principles life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by individual human beings. They are ideas based on subjective, changeable, “truth;” on emotions and lazy, shallow thinking — not on objective immutable truth. These are the exact ideas that were embraced by the movers and shakers behind the French Revolution (1789-1799) and that brought about the Reign of Terror in France; the same ones upon which Lenin, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, and other despots have operated and do operate. These ideas were and are the polar opposite of those that inspired and instructed the American Revolution (1765-1783), our founders and framers of our governmental system. They are the antithesis of the ideas that Americans have historically held, cherished and benefited from; ideas that have been indispensable to our preservation, our prosperity, our individual liberty and our respectability.
Democratic Party ideas, embraced by those presently governing in “Blue” states and communities across America, have fueled government tyranny, and the rioting, looting, burning and murdering we’re now witnessing. These are the ideas driving the unreasonable demands for the dissolution of police departments, the disarmament of citizens, the erasure of our history, the desecration of monuments and the public humiliation and dehumanization of people. Never have Americans demanded or received such groveling and self- abasement by other Americans as is going on now. Something really sick, sinister and frighteningly dangerous is being outworked now—and that “something” is the depravity of sinful hearts and minds.
These are the ideas that throughout history have resulted in people informing on their neighbors, admitting to crimes they were innocent of and apologizing for things that never warranted an apology. These are the ideas that create at first a slippery slope and then a free fall for once free people to descend into a dark abyss from which there is no return.
The Democratic Party mindset and the ideas driving the various mob organizations today consider truth as nothing more that an obstacle to the consequence they want to result from their ideas. The mindset of the godless radical left is to fear and hate truth. There is an element to truth, incomprehensible to themselves, which is threatening and foreboding to them. This is why they try, in every way they can, to prevent people from hearing truth. This is why they try through ridicule, censorship, violence to do whatever it takes to prevent any exposure of themselves to truth.
So what is the answer to the evil that is behind all of the ignorance and infamy that is right now a very real and present danger to our way of life, and to our very lives as Americans? There’s only one answer, and that answer is truth—truth that embodied in and empowered by goodness. Jesus said, “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32) and the apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit wrote, “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” (Rom. 12:21). I hope to elaborate on this in future posts that I hope you will read and share.
"And ye shall know thee truth, and the truth shall make you free."
—John 8:32
