FACTS FABRICATED AS LIBERTY IS LOST

Hannah Arendt (1906-1975), holocaust survivor, political philosopher and author, wrote the following: “Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it.” Sound familiar?

Now, in America, apparently around half the adult (or assumed to be adult) population accepts the following propositions as factual: gender is nothing more than a social construct, all white people are racist, there has been no voter fraud, parents have no parental rights, governmental health mandates can be trusted, socialism and communism are a good or better alternative to a Constiutional Republic and the current government should be unopposed as it drives our nation farther towards godless tyranny, etc., etc., etc.

America has become the nation of the Big Lie. Government and the media dish out gargantuan-sized and deadly lies on a daily basis. Meanwhile, at least half of our population eats these lies up with a spoon, with the attitude of Charles Dicken's Oliver Twist, who whimperingly said to the master of the Poor House: "Please sir, I want some more."

All this could be reversed. God has promised: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14).
