EVIL? "YES THEY ARE."
Joseph Pulitzer (1847-1911) was one of the foremost figures in the history of publishing and the founder of the Columbia School of Journalism. The famous Pulitzer Prize, awarded for excellence in journalism and the arts, is named after him. He may also have been, to some degree, a prophet, when in 1904 he wrote the following:
“Our Republic and its press will rise or fall together. An able, disinterested,
public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage
to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is
a sham and a mockery. A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce
in time a people as base as itself. The power to mould the future of the
Republic will be in the hands of the journalists of future generations."
Suffice it to say, Joseph Pulitzer knew what journalism is and what it isn’t, and could tell the difference between a real journalist and a self serving propaganda-spinning political flunky, and fake news hack “reporter” or “news analyst.” Beyond doubt, Pulitzer would look at the mainstream media in America today with no small measure of disgust and a great deal of apprehension. He would also no doubt agree with the sentiments expressed by Mike Lindell about today’s “journalists” and the media. Thomas Sowell, one of the most respected economists, social theorists and authors now living would also agree with Lindell. Sowell has written:
“Media bias in editorials and columns is one thing. Media fraud in reporting
‘facts’ in news stories is something else … The issue is not what various
journalists or news organizations’ editorial views are. The issue is the
transformation of news reporting into ideological spin, along with self-serving
taboos and outright fraud.”
Mike Lindell says that he used to wonder whether or not mainstream media journalists are as “evil” as they appeared to be and has concluded that, “yes, they are.” Evil is what is being manifested by the press corps, the politicians, the pushers of perversion and others who have deliberately “turned their backs on God.”
Evil is what is behind and driving those who are tearing this country apart and bringing divine judgment down upon it. Americans need, before it is too late, to wake up to, recognize, and admit this before it is too late.
The Bible says, “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Tim. 3:13). This prophecy concerning the last days before Christ returns is fully in play in America today. The explanation for all this is, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Eph. 6:12).
