(Disclaimer: References to “Democrats” in this article are restricted to those who are aware of what the platform of the Democrat party is in terms of its beliefs and goals, and have identified and aligned themselves with it. We understand that countless thousands foolishly and ignorantly identify with and vote Democrat as a matter of family tradition, and are politically misplaced persons. But willful ignorance, at some point has to be recognized as inexcusable, especially since the Democratic Party has become, in all but its name, a thoroughly communist organization embedded within the government of the United States).
The New Testament Church is a divinely established institution. It was founded by Jesus during His personal ministry, and introduced with great power to the world on the Day of Pentecost (Matt. 16:18; Acts 2). It has its physical expression throughout the world in local, visible, and autonomous churches, that are identifiable by their commonality of biblical faith and practice, The purpose of a New Testament church is to proclaim in word and deed the Truth that is in Jesus as it is revealed in the Bible (Matt. 28:19, 20; 5:13-16; Eph. 4:21; John 17:17).
Being part of a New Testament church is biblically restricted to people who have experienced the new birth on the terms of the gospel. These have exercised “repentance towards God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ,” have been born of and sealed by, the Holy Spirit (Acts 20:21; Eph. 1:12-14; 2:8, 9; Rom. 8:16), have been scripturally baptized, unequivocally and have embraced the Word of God as their sole rule for faith and practice e.(Matt. 18:19, 20; Acts 2:41; 8:34-39; 2 Pet. 3:18).
The question has been asked as to whether of not a democrat as described in the first paragraph of this article, should be received into the membership of a New Testament church. The answer is “No.” Such democrats have no right to expect acceptance, and shouldn’t be accepted into the membership of a New Testament church (Amos 3:3; 2 Cor. 6:14). It is consistent with the evil, convoluted times in which we live that such a question would even be asked. But then, these are times when the distinction between men and women is brought into question.
People who knowingly identify with or support a political entity such as the Democrat Party, that is fundamentally godless and anti-Christ in it principles. Should not be allowed to be part of those who make up the body of any New Testament church. They should be welcome and encouraged to attend churches for the sake of their being under the preaching of the Word of God (1 Cor. 1:18), but by no means should anyone who supports what is supported by the Democratic Party belong to or remain in a New Testament church.
