A “A DEFICIT OF COMMON SENSE,” OR SOMETHING MUCH WORSE?

America’s forfeiture of common sense began in the 1960’s. Until just recently an almost full-scale forfeiture of common sense seemed inevitable in light of how easily and quickly Woke-craziness was dominating every level of our society. Men openly dressed up as women were seated on President Biden’s cabinet and holding office elsewhere in his administration. Top ranking military officers who were biological men wore teased-up hair, dresses and heavy make up as they minced before our sailors and soldiers saluting and being saluted.
Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Jackson, whose very consideration as a candidate brought the nation’s highest court to a new low, when asked if there is any difference between a man and a woman, refused to answer on the grounds of being confused by the question. Parents permitted elementary school through high school aged children to undergo permanent, irreversible, “gender transition surgeries;” and this has led, only a few years later, to across-the-board regret by practically all of these children and the suicides of a great many of them.
America’s greatest abominations have taken place primarily, almost exclusively, whenever and wherever Democrats have held political power, and it is vital that Americans acknowledge this and address this appropriately at the ballot box. Surely it is significant that, of the following all but one of these abominations occurred under Democrat presidencies and when Democrats were in the majority in Congress (Richard Nixon was President in 1973, but Democrats controlled Congress)
Prayer outlawed in public schools [Engel v. Vitale, 1962]—John F. Kenned
The Bible removed from classrooms [Abington School District v. Schempp, 1963]
—Lyndon Johnson.
The killing of unborn babies—abortion legalized [Roe v. Wade, 1973]—Richard Nixon.
Display of The Ten Commandments prohibited in schools and courthouses
[Stone v. Graham, 1980]—Jimmy Carter
Same-sex marriage legalized [Obergefell v. Hodges, 2015]—Barach Obama
“Special rights’ for transgender and other sodomites granted under the
Civil Rights Act of 1964 [Bostock v. Clayton County, 2020].—Barach Obama
But the collapse of common sense in America, and the dismantling of America by Democrats’ is merely the fruit of something much deeper and darker than Democrat policies or woke ideology. The root of America’s problem is sin that has been allowed to morph into wickedness; wickedness which has been allowed to metastasize into evil; and evil manifesting itself in the form of things which are an abomination to God such as sodomy, transgenderism and cross dressing (Lev. 18:22; Deut. 22:5; 1 Thess. 5:22).
Christians have their place and duty in America’s political arena. But it must be kept uppermost in our mind, that our nation’s great problems are spiritual in nature and can only be dealt in ways that are spiritual, by those who are equipped spiritually to deal with them. This means that churches must judge themselves unsparingly, and Christians must individually do the same thing (1 Pet. 4:17; 2 Cor. 13:5; Matt. 5:3-16; 1 Pet. 1:16; 2:9; Eph. 6:10-18).
