AMERICA'S "DUMBEST GENERATION"
A widely popular book entitled, The Greatest Generation, contends that America’s greatest generation to date was the one that lived during and fought in World War II. This may be true, but it’s debatable. After all, it was a huge segment of this “greatest generation,” that did more than any other, through parental permissiveness and carelessness, to start the ball rolling downhill character-wise that has finally produced what is, demonstrably, the dumbest generation of Americans to ever live.
I recently heard a public speaker explain, with statistical data, examples and illustrations, her contention that “the present generation is the dumbest generation ever to live in America.” I, and a great many others, have believed this for a long, long, time. Those who haven’t believed or wanted to believe it are now, in droves, albeit reluctantly, conceding to what they have for so long allowed to be hidden in plain sight.
Most of us understand, that this assessment is not all-inclusive and without exceptions, But by and large and generally speaking, it's true: this generation has earned the distinction of being, to date, America’s dumbest generation. It is dumb in all the ways that count inn terms of what it takes for a nation to remain free, prosperous and happy with a healthy fear of God before its eyes. The generation now exercising influence and real power in our government, in our marketplace, in our media, and in our military, though they are “professing themselves to be wise,” are in fact the epitome of, and by definition, “fools” (Rom. 1:12).
The so called “smart people” have never been so immeasurably and outrageously made- stupid-by-sin than they are today. They live to kill (think abortion), to patronize and practice perversion and to destroy the family, which is fundamental to the survival of a country. They glory in what they ought to be ashamed of, turn themselves into walking displays of graffiti and love lies and hate truth. They want to outlaw law, and have made gods and goddesses of their silly self-loving and at the same time self-loathing selves. Their biggest problem is that they don't know the One true God of heaven with who they will one day have to give an account.
“Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man
glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory
in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise
lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight,
saith the Lord.” (Jer. 9:23-24)
America’s dumbest generation doesn’t know what they don’t know and is proud of it. And these are those, a minority of the population that are bullying, threatening, robbing, and trying to enslave the rest of us to their idiotic and immoral whims. These are those of whom George Orwell spoke of as, “A generation of the unteachable is hanging upon us like a necklace of corpses.” We need to get them off our necks and out of our lives as quickly as we can before it is too late.
