GOVERNMENT OF, BY AND FOR WHO?
In 1384 John Wycliff wrote this in the prologue of his English translation of the Bible: “The Bible is for the Government of the People, by the People, and for the People.” On July 4, 1858, famous New England preacher, Theodore Parker put the following spin on Wycliff’s words when he said in a famous sermon, “Democracy is direct self-government, over all the people, by all the people, for all the people.” Abraham Lincoln adapted and incorporated this phrase from the sermon, into his Gettysburg Address saying, “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
In 2022 unconstitutional, overreaching, rogue, criminal and tyrannical government aided by media-inflicted mass psychosis has sent the American people sliding rapidly down a slippery slope towards the mire of a police state into which we are about to be immersed, and from which, escape will probably be impossible. At this point, any hope of our avoiding this fate depends upon two things.
First, it needs to be understood by every freedom loving American that to look to government leadership at any level, in either party, is an exercise in futility. With only the slightest exceptions, a combination of greed and gutlessness permeates the entire atmosphere of every branch of federal government and bureaucracy. The same is true of government on the state and local level throughout our country.
Secondly, it needs to be recognized that, throughout history, people on the verge of losing their freedom have overcome would-be masters and seemingly impossible odds and retained their freedom. This happens only where competent and inspirational leadership emerges and where people have organized themselves for the sake of resistance. This is the way it has always worked, and this is the only way it can work now.
Government of the people, by the people, for the people, has, for decades in America, been a sham and a pretense. But the sham and pretense is now rapidly evaporating and the horrible reality is becoming more obvious every day to more and more people. History has proven that even at this late stage, tyrannical takeover can be successfully resisted. Whether or not freedom will “perish from the earth” where America is concerned depends on average Americans taking personal responsibility to see that this doesn’t happen. America is our home, not a holding tank where citizens are held in check. This is our country, not a corral for government despots keep their human livestock to use when and . how they see fit.
