HERE'S A GREAT TRUTH TO CONTEMPLATE TODAY

Oswald Chambers wrote: “Man is the climax of creation. He is on a stage a little lower than the angels, and God is going to overthrow the devil by this being who is less than angelic. God has, as it were, put him in the “open field,” and He allows the devil to do exactly what he likes up to a certain point, because God says, “Ye are of God, little children” and “greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”

The Bible, in the first two chapters of Genesis, only records two reasons for why God created man. God created man because (1) He wanted a relationship with Him, and (2)because He wanted man to reign over the earth with Him. In Genesis, chapter three, we have the record of how Satan and sin undid the purposes of God in both these areas. But this chapter also introduces the good news that God had a plan in place to undo what Satan and sin had done (v. 15). Jesus came to earth the first time to be crucified in order to make it once again possible for men and women to have a relationship with God (John 3:16-18). He will come to earth a second time as Lord of lords and King of kings to conquer all of His enemies and reign over the whole earth with His saints (Rev. 19:11-16; 20:6). Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Today, those who are God’s children are intended and empowered, to be used of God to present those undone by, and dying in, sin with the good news of the Gospel. Soon Jesus will come again and those who’ve been brought into relationship with God through the salvation that is in Christ, will have dominion over the earth with Jesus our Christ, our Conqueror and our King. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The everlasting Father, The Price of Peace” (Isa. 9:6).
