MORE ON MISSING MANLINESS
“History is strewn with the wrecks of nations which have gained a little progressiveness at the cost of a great deal of hard manliness, and have thus prepared themselves for destruction as soon as the movements of the world have a chance for it.” (Walter Bagehot (1826-1877) America is a wreck right now , and becoming a worse and worse wreck every day. One of the greatest explanations for and evidences of it is the disappearance of "hard" (that is, real) manliness" in our male population.
We are now losing our Republic and our individual freedom largely because men all across America are either guilty of self-emasculation or they have allowed a rotten and perverse society to emasculate them. (Emasculate: "To deprive a man of his male role or identity; to make someone or something weaker or less effective.").
That’s right. A large and growing portion of America’s male population has been and is becoming emasculated almost, if not altogether, to the point of feminization. And, let's be clear: the focus here isn't on those males who are in some way caught up in homosexuality or transgenderism. The issue being addressed here is an epidemic of American men who are becoming more and more unisex every day. Want some examples? Read on:
More and more women are now seen in the driver’s seat while their husbands ride in the passenger seat of the family car; something which not so long ago was a rarity. More women are becoming doctors now while more and more men become nurses. More and more women are now drill sergeants in boot camps daily screaming in the faces of cringing male recruits; more and more women are in the cockpits of airliners while apron-clad men squirm down airliner aisles passing out peanuts to passengers.
More and more policewomen are swaggering down sidewalks, walking their "beats," manhandling miscreants, riding around in police cars day and night, talking trash with partners in blue (who aren’t their husbands) bonding and having "each other’s backs." More and more women are at train stations and airports dressed in "camos" kissing their teary-eyed and baby-holding Mr. moms and children good-bye, as they shoulder duffle bags, almost as big as they are, and go on deployment. And, the list goes on and on and on.
The number of women holding political office, serving as judges, etc. at every level of government is becoming almost as numerous as men in these positions. This, in itself is a characteristic of a nation in a state of serious decline: "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.The Lord standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people” (Isa. 3:12, 13). The most telling (and nauseating) evidence of how emasculated and spiritually bereft American men have become is seen in the tens of thousands of them who now happily sit under and heartily "Amen" their women pastors week after week. Read 1 Tim.2:12; 3:2; 1 Pet. 3:1-7; Eph. 5:22-25).
There's something really, really wrong with the "male-female" picture in America. Problem is, most of Americans, as they have turned their backs on God and His Word, have become too dumbed down, desensitized and morally brain-dead to notice or care. And so we have our explosion of perversion across America, 87 plus genders being taught in public schools, the normalization of cross dressing that began decades ago, and all the rest of it.
The masculinization of American women and the emasculation of American men isn't fundamentally the fault of women. It's the fault of womanly men who have allowed and continue to allow it to happen. This is especially true where Christians are concerned. Wise, intelligent and spiritually minded women want and need husbands who appreciate and uphold biblically-based and historically-held differences in gender roles. They want to live lives wherein they can celebrate their femininity and the real manhood of their husbands.
This article isn't advocating a stupid, macho-macho male chauvinism. It is advocating manhood at its best. This is defined in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things been done with charity." Right here, the best advice a man can receive is found in the words of Jesus: "Go ye, and learn what that meaneth" (Matt. 9:13). (Please share this if you can).
