NAME THIS COUNTRY

If you knew about a government that has kept 83 of its citizens imprisoned for over a year under abusive conditions with no formal charges filed against them while denying them anything like due process of law because they attended a political rally, would you think it was a Constitutional Republic or something more like a Marxist/communist tyrannical government? Would you think that a country where political dissent and disagreement by the citizenry with government is being criminalized and penalized more each day should be thought of as “the land of the free and the home of the brave” or as something else? Does anything here sound like something identifiable with America today? The answer is, a resounding “Yes, much in every way.”.

In one of T.S. Eliot’s poems is the line: “This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper.” The thought comes to mind in this day of lawless, tyrannical and godless government in America—Is this the way America and individual freedom ends, with a whimper sighed by a vast majority who are willing to give in, and give up their children’s and grandchildren’s future to a relative handful of power hungry, Godless and conscienceless leftist lunatics completely crazed by their sin?

God’s promise is still valid, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, then will I hear from heaven, and will heal there land.” The only thing in question here is whether or not God’s people are willing to meet His terms for His sake, and the sake of the healing of their land.
