RESTATING SOME OBVIOUS TRUTH

George Orwell never claimed to be a Christian or evidenced any accurate understanding of Christianity. He did understand the atheistic and lie-based culture of Marxist totalitarianism, having been part of the Left until he recognized the evil of it all. Then, he spoke and wrote against it for the rest of his life (Read Animal Farm and 1984). In the context of resisting the Left he once said, “The first duty of intelligent men is the restatement of the obvious.” Never has the need for this been greater than it is now in our sin-crazed, morally jacked-up, American society. So, here are a few restatements of the obvious in terms of truth and legitimate historicity, etc. — whether Leftists or their minions and useful idiots like it or not:

First: America was founded, and our Constitution and legal system shaped, according to Judeo-Christian values that made us the most free, safe and prosperous nation in world history. There are only two genders, male and female. Women are capable of giving birth to children; men aren’t. Marriage, regardless of “rights” assumed or granted, was intended to be between a biological man and a biological woman. The federal government has about 19 areas of legal authority granted to them, none of which include imposing taxes described by Frederic Bastiat as “legal plunder, usurping parental authority over children, or ripping our Bill of Rights to shreds. Another restatement of the obvious is that some of the most morally deranged, power mad people on the planet are in complete control of all our national institutions, and steadily assuming micromanagement over our persons and property.

Here’s another: biblical Christianity, all across America, has been reconfigured, revised and figuratively speaking stood on its head compliments of: (1) a “no business like show business,” “Burger King have-it your-way” new style of pop “Christianity” (which is not Christianity) on the one hand, and (2) a gaggle of self styled false “fundamentalists” who have been too funnytheologically and in practice and not mental enough for way too long. (Thank God for the remnant who are still committed to biblical Christianity; which is probably, hopefully, much larger than most of us think).

One more restatement of the obvious: American culture is now not just un-Christian, it is patently anti-Christian. Persecution of biblical, Sermon on the Mount-based Christianity here has been put into gear and is going into overdrive. People need to be spiritually prepared for it, understanding that the only thing mightier than the demonically driven culture of lies now tearing our country apart is Truth. Truth needs to be massively, and daily, restated in every way possible. Christians need to align themselves with the thinking and living that is consistent with the Holy Scriptures

The restatement of truth needed more than any other is that mankind is born in a condition of sin that prevents his having any relationship with God in time or eternity, but this can be changed. Why? “Because, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). How? By ones simultaneous confession to God of their desire to be forgiven of sin and to turn from it, as they put their total trust in Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior (Rom. 10:9-13).
