SMITHSONIAN SPOILERS

I have loved the study of history since I’ve been able to read. I have an MA in history from St. Louis University, have done doctoral work in the subject towards a PhD, and cherish my membership in Phi Alpha Theta, granted to me by its International Council in 1976. All this to say that I feel like I have some particular “skin in the game” when it comes to the attack underway for years now, on our national history and heritage.
Those who tinker and tamper with history, who revise, rewrite and erase it in order to reeducate people where their history is concerned, are among the worst, most contemptible liars on the planet. A case in point involves the skullduggery that’s been in play at the Smithsonian Institution.
The Smithsonian Institution, located in Washington DC, is or should be, the premier “must see” top-of-the-bucket list” attraction for every lover of American history. I’ve been there, but on a schedule that allowed me only a fraction of the time necessary (which would be a few days) to explore anything close to all there is to see. Comprised of 21 museums and 14 educational and research centers, it has long been recognized as “the official keeper of the American Story.”
But the current keepers of the American story are bunch of spoilers calling themselves the “Organization of American Historians,”(aka The Organization of American Revisionist Historians). The OAH is a group of woke ideologists who were given leadership of the Smithsonian during the same era of woke national lunacy that gave us BLM, antifa, Dr. Fauci, transgender madness, gender confusion and the criminal and traitorous Biden administration, etc., etc. The OAH is the tip of the spear of what President Trump rightly recognizes as “a “concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our Nation’s history” and promote a “distorted narrative driven by ideology rather than truth.”
The Organization of American Historians pushes the false, fictional narrative that our nation was built on “slavery, exploitation, and exclusion.” They are liars—intellectual, ideological misfits and liars— whose agenda includes whatever disinformation, depreciation or denigration of America is necessary to cause Americans to be disaffected with and to disavow their own country. They understand, as Solzhenitsyn did, that “To destroy a people you must first sever their roots.” And make no mistake about it, the endgame of woke ideology is the destruction of America as we and the rest of the world have known it.
British historian Paul Johnson has taken a more truthful and objective view of our history than the OAH, writing that the American story is an account of “human achievement without parallel,” a story “of difficulties overcome by skill, faith, and strength of purpose, and courage and persistence” He summarizes that, “The creation of the United States of America is the greatest of all human adventures,” and Americans are “the most remarkable people the world has ever seen.”
The OAH now embedded at the Smithsonian are intellectual deviants. Thanks to President Trump, the Smithsonian may soon be deloused of, and Truth will fumigate this great institution of, any trace of their presence. I couldn’t be happier about this.
