THE GREATEST DISCOVERY EVER MADE WILL BE MADE TODAY!

Sir James Simpson (1811-1870) was the Scottish physician who discovered that chloroform could be used as an anesthetic, a discovery that relieved the world from more pain than any other single discovery. When someone asked Dr. Simpson if chloroform had been his greatest discovery, he answered without the slightest hesitation: “My greatest discovery was Jesus Christ as my Saviour.”

It has been said that, “It will always remain true that a man’s greatest glory is not what he has done, but what God has done for him.” God has done something that can deliver people from the greatest pain of all—the pain, present and prospective (Luke 16:19-31) that is caused by sin. Have you discovered what God did for you when He “so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)?

When you “discover” Jesus Christ as your Savior through “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21) you will have something to glory in throughout your life and into eternity. People all over the world will make this discovery and begin to glory in it today. Will you be one of them?

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”—1 Pet. 1:8, 9
