THE MAIN THING IS TO KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING.

As you go through life, it’s important to remember, “the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” Important things must never be put ahead of the most important thing. The cart can’t be put in front of the horse, and what is good and better should never be substituted for what is best. The first button, not the second or third button, on a shirt, belongs in the first buttonhole or things aren’t going to fit or work out like they should. There are things of utmost importance that we most assuredly must attend to, but not to the neglect of that which it is imperative that we do. Jesus was speaking of such things when He said, “these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone (Matt. 23:23b). And, it must be said, that it is because these things have been sorely neglected for decades in America that our country is in the dire straits it is in now.

There are a number of very important, critical and urgent things that Americans need to do right now for the sake of our individual liberty and the survival of our Constitutional Republic. But the greatest, most important, critical and urgent thing needed now is a return to the preaching and teaching and practical application of the Law of God. The Law of God is found in the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount. It outlines and clarifies God’s standard for how human beings are meant to live before Him and with one another. It is also “our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ” (Col. 3:24). Parents and pastors and preachers need to cry out to God for help and bare down on this responsibility with all of their might. (Share this if you can, with as many people, in as many ways, as you can).
