THE OPTIMISTS ARE SAYING AMERICA IS IN "FREE FALL."

Americans are now confronted with the stark, and what should be sobering, reality — that we are in dire danger of having our constitutional form of government replaced in the very immediate future by some form of socialist state which will accelerate the fast track that we are already on towards totalitarianism. How close are we to totalitarianism in America? I think the consensus of the best, brightest, most honest students of history and politics was summed up recently by Professor Gad Saad who said, “If I’m going to be optimistic, we are one inch away from jumping into the abyss; If I’m going to be realistic, we are already in free-fall.”

At this stage, only a miraculous intervention by God can keep us from going completely over the abyss and into a “New Normal” that is simply what has always been the old normal for communist dominated third world countries. Recent events – the blatant lawlessness and social madness demonstrated over just the last 24 months – have proven how rapidly everything can be turned around, turned upside down, and come crashing down when God is forgotten by a society and the wickedest element in it bears rule (Prov. 29:2).

The question is why should God intervene for the sake of a nation that denies, defies and has all but forgotten Him entirely? The answer is, He will if there are people who will meet His terms for doing so as He has outlined them in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” And herein is the problem.
