THE UNMASKING HAS BEGUN!

CAN YOU TELL A SHEEP FROM A GOAT OR A WOLF? Apparently, there are many professed Christians today who are either terribly confused or simply counterfeits.

Dabo Swinney is the head football coach at Clemson University in South Carolina where he makes a little over nine million dollars a year. He, like so many others associated with professional and college football wholeheartedly supports the BLM movement. He’s marched arm in arm with others in support of it, and recently said in a telecast, "I wholeheartedly support Black Lives Matter.” Coach Swinney is also very outspoken about his Christian faith. Someone wrote me from SC this week saying, “He has more Christianity than he can carry on a wagon to hear him tell it.” I mention Dabo Swinney here because he is so typical of so many in the sports spotlight who tout their Christianity and their support of BLM at the same time.

Coaches and ballplayers aren’t the only ones who aren’t bashful about their Christian faith and support for the BLM movement. Thousands of professed Christians all over America are doing the same thing. The most charitable thing that can be said about this is that there is apparently a lot of confusion in play regarding something that people can’t afford to be confused about.

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist revolutionary movement, founded by three Marxist women, that began in 2013, and has as its stated aim, the transformation of the United States into a communist dystopia. BLM states that it wants to abolish the nuclear family, heteronormativity, police, prisons and capitalism. It is adamantly opposed to Christianity, and its leaders have threatened to "burn down the system" if their demands aren’t met. To vet these facts and to learn more, go online to BLM’s official website and to https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/16181/black-lives-matter. Does BLM look or sound like something that a real Christian, indwelt by the Holy Spirit would want to sympathize with or support?

There is an appropriate and consistent position for Christians to take relative to BLM. That is, to pray for the salvation of those in it and take a strong stand against what it stands for.

The whole BLM thing has ripped the masks off of a lot of people who’ve been wearing sheep masks for a long time; people who've sounded like sheep, mixed with sheep and been accepted as sheep. American “Christianity” is so spiritually dumbed down, deaf to the Spirit of God and disobedient that spiritual goats and wolves are accepted almost everywhere as being the Lord’s sheep regardless of any evidence or proof to the contrary. Proverbs 20:11 says, “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”

The Lord Jesus said of phony professors, “By their fruits ye shall know them’ (Matt. 7:20). Consider the following:

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27b).

“He that is nnot with me is against me” (Matt. 12:30a).

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matt. 12:22, 23).

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2 Cor. 13:5)
